You may have read countless reports, blog posts and suggestions about weight-loss.  You may have tried so many different programs and methods to lose weight and still can’t find the real solution because there are so many people saying so many different things.  I know exactly how you feel I’ve been there.  I am writing not from a perspective of judgment or insensitivity but from a place of empathy and understanding.

In my own personal quest to lose weight I have tried many diet programs some I probably didn’t have much faith in deep down inside but I just wanted to believe really badly that I could sacrifice very little and achieve this remarkable weight-loss and easy loss weight.  I was terribly wrong.  One of my great mentors Bob Proctor says something very important he says that the difference between successful and unsuccessful people is that successful people are willing to do the things they don’t like to achieve success.  Typically successful people seek favorable results and unsuccessful people seek favorable methods.

I have conducted many weight loss experiments tried so many different programs out there all to avoid making one sacrifice that I have been evading for years, I have finally decided to make it and will be sharing everything and all my outcomes here with you on this blog.  First, I would like to reveal to you some of my most personal tips to loss weight.  These are very valuable because they are tactics that you can employ right now and loss weight fast for free.  They will help you to shed pounds without you having to diet or exercise.

Okay guys, this  list of things that you can do right now to lose 5-10 pounds per month without doing a thing else is dear to my heart and I was actually going to create a report and sell it for profit but decided to share it with my blog readers for free.  Find your discipline, follow these steps and you will be a leaner and healthier person in just one month.

  • Every morning on an empty stomach drink 8 ounces of lukewarm water with lemon juice to preference and ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Personally I have to have something hot first thing in the morning so I drink my coffee first and then this drink.  There is a diet called the Master Cleanse which is quite popular which suggests a cleanse of this drink only with the addition of maple syrup for at least 10 days.  It is a detox and it is suppose to cleanse you and make you lose weight.  Well I told you I have tried everything including this, I did it in 2002, I didn’t eat for 10 days this was probably my greatest achievement knowing that I had that kind of will power.  As for the weight I lost 12 pounds in the 10 days but as soon as I started eating again I gained it all back save 5 pounds.  Do I recommend it as an effective weight loss solution, no.  It is however a great detox and digestive cleanse for the body and the cayenne pepper is good for circulation, helps to increase the metabolism and reduces cravings.  All these things can play a role in how effectively we lose weight.  I excluded the maple syrup because I think that it is just added sugar that is not necessary.  If you just find it absolutely unbearable without it then go ahead and add a teaspoon of maple syrup to the mixture.
  • Chewing on a piece of cinnamon stick in between meals or adding ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder to you beverages 3 times a day. Cinnamon has a regulatory effect on the blood sugar so by chewing it after your meals you are helping your body deal with carbohydrates more effectively.  It is also said to be an appetite suppressant and of course keeps your mouth moving because you are chewing it throughout the day.  I sprinkle cinnamon on my ice cream or any sweet treat I am having just so that it will have a reduced effect on my blood sugar and will less likely lead to weight gain.
  • Implement whole foods into your diet.  Whole foods are super foods that contain a huge store house of nutrients in a small amount of the substance. Some examples of these whole foods are flax seeds, hemp seeds, Chia seeds and Maca root.  Most of these examples can be sprinkled in food items such as yogurt and cereal and are full of protein and/or omega fatty acids which help the body to release unneeded pounds.  Maca has further powerful properties such as balancing the female hormones and boosting the libido both of which can ultimately lead to improved weight-loss.   • I know you have heard this one before and it may be a bit of a cliché but drink a ton of water. To break this down in the simplest way possible; water is vital to you weight-loss success.  A well hydrated body is like a well oiled machine it works more efficiently and it is said that you will burn 3% more calories per day if your body is well hydrated.  Water is also essential to help carry the toxins from fat out of your body and will make you feel more satisfied.
  • Eliminate artificial sweeteners and diet soda from your weekly diet immediately.  You may enjoy 2 cans on the weekend only.  Diet sodas have an artificial sweetener called aspartame.  This sweetener is very controversial and has been linked to a whole host of health problems for regular consumers.  It was also found in some studies that aspartame suppresses the metabolism and therefore makes it slower leading to more weight gain.
  • Replace your artificial sweetener with Stevia. In case you haven’t heard of it, Stevia comes from a non-caloric herb in South America.  Extracts of this herb are taken in liquid and powdered form to create a sweetening alternative to sugar which is sweet tasting with no calories, is all natural and has no side effects.  I love Stevia and that is all I use.  It may be an acquired taste and I prefer the liquid over the powder but once you get use to it you will never be without it.  Check your local health food store for Stevia but if you can’t find it there click here to find it and other Stevia products.
  • Stop drinking calories immediately, replace your high caloric drinks with an original or flavored ice tea sweetened with Stevia. Boost this up by making the tea, an antioxidant or fat burning tea such as green tea or Yerbamate tea which is absolutely delicious.  It is very easy to do this just brew 4 cups of the tea of your choice and then put it in the freezer until it cools down.  Next add Stevia to taste and then cut up half a lemon and add it to your drink and voila!  Sugar free delicious ice tea. Add ice and you can sip on this in between meals throughout the day.  When I carry this around in a see through cup people always ask me if I purchased it on tap at Starbucks because it looks so good.  Then I’m like no I made it myself and it s completely sugar free and delicious.   You will find that you will be drinking a lot of tea and this can become quite costly if you pick buy your boxes at a retail store so click this link to buy your tea wholesale. At one point I lived for Venti Caramel Frappuccinos at Starbucks until I found out that I was consuming almost 1000 calories in that one drink, you must be aware of this because it will completely sabotage your weight-loss efforts.
  • Have some protein before bed, this helps the fat burning at rest process and also helps your muscles to recover better if you worked them out during the day. Try to opt for choices that have little to no carbohydrates so as not to inflate your calorie intake right before bed.  Some good choices are cottage cheese 1%.  Half a cup of 1% cottage cheese is only 100 calories and has 15grams of protein.  My favorite high protein low carbohydrate before bed snack is a can of sardines in water that I eat right out of the can.  It is packed with protein almost 30 grams, it is less than 200 calories and it is filled with omega fatty acids.  This is a super food in a can, trust me.
  • Include Cranberry concentrate as a part of your daily diet. Cranberry concentrate is great for many things.  The most well know thing it does it help prevent and treat Urinary Tract Infections but it is also an excellent solution for cellulite.  It is good for weight loss and cellulite because it is a powerful diuretic and detoxifier.  Make sure you buy pure cranberry concentrate then you can keep a bottle dropper on hand.  Add 25 drops of cranberry concentrate to 8 ounces of water and you can do this 2 or 3 times a day.  When you’re done just remove the rubber top from the plastic dropper so you can rinse it and use it daily.   • Don’t eat large meals before bed.  The general rule of thumb is that your last meal should be 3 hours before bed.  Meals right before bed can lead to stomach cramps and gas.  Many people on the quest to lose weight complain about bloating as one of the obstacles to seeing progress.  Following this one step can reduce bloating dramatically.  Also, the bulk of your energy will now be consumed with digestion while you sleep instead of the regeneration that your body needs to engage in so that you can feel and look your best.  So create a habit of not consuming large meals right before bed with the exception of your small shot of protein and the occasional celebration.

I feel like my biggest mistake when dieting was not to keeping track of my calories.  I know there are probably a lot of people who just hear the word calories and automatically shut down.  I used to be one of these people.  For some reason due to our socialization when we hear the word calorie we automatically summon up images of starvation, hours a day of counting and calculation and all types of lack and limitation.  I have always avoided calorie counting like the plague and any program that supported calorie counting I would stay away from and gravitate only toward the programs that promised that you don’t have to count calories you could eat as much as you want just eat healthy food and it will all balance out in the end.  These programs are wrong.  Our bodies are individually designed to require a particular amount of daily fuel to function.  The determination is based on key factors such as our weight and height.

So we are trying to establish how much energy or fuel someone of our physical makeup needs to maintain the basic functions of our body.  A calorie is a unit of energy so look at things this way how much energy does your body need  for basic functions such as digestions, taking a shower, sleeping and eating.  Once you determine this using the healthy weight calculator you can adjust calories or the amount of energy you need based on how much more active or inactive you are in relation to basic activities of daily living.  When we feed our bodies more energy (calories) than a person of our weight and size can use up in a day the excess energy gets stored as fat.  The only way we can ever get to use that extra excess energy that was stored as fat is if we are giving our body less daily energy (calories) than it needs for our basic functions taking into consideration our activity level.  When our body is not getting enough energy from calories for it to function it is forced to tap into the energy reserves that have been stored as fat in order to supplement the missing energy so that we can still function.  This  formula of creating an energy deficit is the only formula for losing weight.

Dieting Tips To Lose WeightSo there you have it.  The fastest and easiest way to lose weight is by creating an energy (calorie) deficit so that your body is forced to tap into its energy reserve storage which is the fat on your stomach, hips and thighs.  Start looking at the fat as too much energy that needs to be burned off.  I have tried many diets where I ate perfectly healthy, with a lot of protein and conservative amounts of carbohydrates but yet was not even losing a pound a week.  I  worked out 5 days a week ate only healthy food and at the end of 3 months I had only lost 5 pounds.  This really frustrated me and I started thinking that my body was just resistant to losing weight, so why even try.

After closer analysis I realized that although I was eating healthy I was still eating enough healthy calories to just about cover my body’s daily functioning needs and was not creating an enough of an energy deficit to force my body to use my fat for energy.  Put it this way, I am 5’8 and require about 2,000 calories a day to function and maintain my current body weight.  If I were to eat nothing but 20 apples a day, each apple being 90-100 calories, I would not lose any fat even though I am only eating apples; I am still getting enough energy to function; so no need to tap my fat stores.  If I decided to eat 15 apples instead, now I would be consuming only 1500 calories a day so my body is forced to get the other 500 calories or units of energy from the fat stored on my body, isn’t it beautiful.  The great thing about this is that it doesn’t have to be apples any kind of food has the same result.  So if I were to have 2 happy meals at 750 calories a piece this will still only add up to 1500 calories for the day and I would still require an extra 500 calories which would come from my fat storage.
